What is a Lifestyle

Lifestyle Communities
offer independent living
in a community setting.

A Lifestyle Community is a vibrant place where you can live with like-minded people in a secure, relaxed environment, with the bonus of having all your gardening and general maintenance taken care of. In a Lifestyle Community there are usually options available across social, lifestyle and health support to make sure you can spend as much time as you like enjoying the Community, without having to worry about anything else.

Our IRT Woodlands Lifestyle Community is perfect for you if you’re
tired of doing odd jobs, like lawn and household maintenance, and want to be surrounded by people of a similar age and outlook as you. Your suitability will depend on whether you’re over 55, but most importantly,
if you love the feeling of being part of a community, IRT Woodlands is definitely for you.

Am I Suited to
IRT Woodlands?

We find that suitability
is more about attitude
than anything else.

Our Lifestyle Community offers you five comfortable villa options: Eucalyptus, Jacaranda, Blue Gum, Ash and Fern villas. Each IRT Woodlands villa is designed by our architects with large open spaces to promote natural ventilation and sunlight.

All our villas come with on-site parking, quality fixtures and fittings
and some white goods, so that you can get on with making the place
your own. Entertaining friends and family is made easier with the well-appointed living and dining areas and separate spacious lounges;
or you can relax in comfort on your rear patio while overlooking your private garden.

Why Choose
IRT Woodlands

Vibrant Community

We understand that it’s the people who make a community vibrant. So we’ve provided the resources and activities to help you get the most out of your surroundings. In an IRT Woodlands Community, you can expect to find the type of facilities you’d likely see in a resort.

Built in care

You’ve earned the right to
spend your time concentrating on the things that matter to you.
We offer discounted access to our In-Home Care services to look after the ‘around the house’  stuff; and if your needs change there’s an onsite 60-bed Care Centre, so you can remain within the Community.

Location, location, location

We’re nestled in Kawana Forest,
a tranquil spot right in the heart
of central Sunshine Coast. With forest parks on two borders it would be easy to forget you’re
just minutes walk from the new Kawana town centre and all
its amenities.

A wider community

As one of Australia’s leading non-profit organisations, we’re proud to give one third of our profits back to programs that help our customers.

Dedicated Lifestyle Community Manager

IRT Woodlands has a Lifestyle Manager who makes sure your needs are tended to. They also assist the Community to organise regular activities tailored to your needs and interests. This could include activities like day trips or game nights.

Our network advantage

We’ve built a huge network
of trusted, valued and screened service providers, from occupational therapists and physios to house cleaners and gardeners. So you have everything you need at your fingertips.

Your Payment

We understand that the different payment options related to Lifestyle Communities can be confusing. So, we provide two easy payment options.

Live Now

This option gives you the sharpest price on your property today (at below market rate) so that you can pocket the change and get on with your other priorities in life.  For the first seven years of occupancy we earmark 5% of the property value for Community running costs, capped at 35% of the purchase price. Then, if you choose to leave your property, you, or your estate, receive the remaining value.

Eye on Tomorrow

The second option allows you to pay market value
on your property today and get back what you paid should your circumstances change in the future. This is similar to a money back guarantee, allowing you to live for now while still keeping your options open for tomorrow. Both options include amongst the lowest monthly community service fees on the Sunshine Coast.
